Gail Anne is best known for her beautiful and vibrant portraits of the horse.   Her portraits convey to the viewer the spirit, beauty and personality of each animal on an individual basis.  An avid lover of animals, Gail has been involved with the breeding, training and showing her own Arabian horses for many years.  The knowledge and experience gained through this endeavor, in addition to her personal spiritual connection and sensitivity with these animals enables her to capture on canvas an inner perspective of the life and essence of the animal on an individual basis, which is conveyed to the viewer.

        Gail has studied under several national and internationally known artists.  Her powerful scenes on canvas are evidenced in the dramatic use and knowledge of color and technique gained over the years.  Gail's award winning painting entitled "The Valkyries" is an example of her ability to convey the spirit, drama, and beauty of the many equine portraits that she has been commissioned to paint.  The viewer is drawn into the paintings. through their own personal interpretations of the feeling and power and beauty of the animals portrayed.

           Gail resides in Borrego Springs, California, a small unincorporated desert town.  Borrego Springs is located in the middle of the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, the largest  state park in the continental United States.  She also captures on canvas, the wildlife and landscapes of the Anza Borrego area.  The quiet small town atmosphere and beautiful surrounding open desert, with its abundance of flora and fauna, are of tremendous inspiration to the artist, which is apparent in Gail's paintings.
